Sardinia

Carloforte - Isola di San Pietro
Sardinia is an Italian island of sun and clean beaches with Emerald seas.
It is only 200 km from Italy and yet it has the climate of Africa.
Our villa is ideally situated for a relaxing mixture of a Sardinian beach holiday and superb Italian food and hospitality.
A checkered history of invasion and colonization have given Sardinia a rich cultural heritage.
Ancient dialects and ruined monuments run throughout the Italian island and tell the tale of its history.
Yet despite Sardinia's outstanding charms.....its climate, landscape and culture, it remains little known and virtually unexplored by mainstream Italian tourism.

Still more select and fascinating is the beautiful undeveloped Sardinian island of San Pietro, where our villa is situated.
It is just 5 kilometers off the coast of mainland Sardinia an easy half hour ferry trip.
It it is an island of panoramic beauty, isolated beaches with crystal clear water and rocky coves.
San Pietro remains virtually untouched by tourism it only has one town, Carloforte, a charming Liberty style Sardinian resort.
Our villa is here, nestling in the centre of the friendly relaxed streets. Just a couple of minutes walk from the sea, our villa also makes an excellent base for exploring the whole island with its stunning scenery, sparkling beaches and rocky shoreline Despite its secluded nature and sense of remoteness and calm, it is relatively easy to get to San Pietro Island.
There are regular international flights to Sardinia's capital Cagliari. From there you can easily hire a car or take a bus to make the 60km journey to the ferry port of Portoscuso. From there boats make the 30 minute crossing up to nine times a day and dock right in the centre of Carloforte.
Once on the island you can explore with your hire car or, make the most of the fine weather and level landscape and hire mopeds or bikes.
